HiddenLayer Raises $100 Million for AI Runtime Security

AI security company HiddenLayer on Wednesday announced raising $100 million in a Series B funding round that brings the total raised by the company to over $155 million.

Founded in 2022, Austin-based HiddenLayer secures the lifecycle of agentic, generative, and predictive AI applications, protecting agents from evolving threats.

The company’s enterprise platform provides discovery, AI supply chain security, attack simulation, and runtime protection for AI agents, ensuring compliance, safe AI adoption, and intellectual property protection.

HiddenLayer plans to invest the fresh funds in expanding the platform with agentic runtime security capabilities that cover AI coding agents.

The company will focus on providing enterprises with visibility into how AI agents act in production, to stop anomalous behavior, including manipulation, misuse, and unauthorized actions.

Additionally, it wants to secure autonomous agents that write, review, and ship code with less human oversight, saying that only end-to-end AI-native security can continuously test and prove trust in AI.

“We set out to pioneer trusted, secure use of AI for enterprises, long before most organizations saw the urgency we do today. This funding lets us keep growing the purpose-built team and platform required to meet that moment as agentic AI becomes core to how enterprises operate,” said HiddenLayer co-founder and CEO Chris Sestito.

The new investment round was led by Delta-v Capital, with additional support from Booz Allen Ventures, Microsoft’s Venture Fund M12, Morgan Stanley, and Ten Eleven Ventures.
