Searah, a 50/50 independent joint venture between Eni and Petronas that combines their key businesses across Indonesia and Malaysia, has hired Destini Oil Services (DOS), a subsidiary of Kuala Lumpur-headquartered Destini, for a multi-year tubular running services (TRS) assignment off the coast of Malaysia, Southeast Asia.

Destini has secured a letter of award (LOA) from Searah, formerly known as Seara Energy, for the provision of tubular running services for the operator’s West Region operations. Based on the agreement, DOS will deploy its specialized technical capabilities and assets to ensure seamless and safe tubular running operations across Searah’s Malaysian assets.

Tuan Haji Ismail Bin Mustaffa, Executive Director of Destini, commented: “We are deeply honoured by the trust and confidence that Searah (Malaysia) has placed in Destini Oil Services.

“This contract is a testament to our continuous operational momentum and further consolidates our position as a premier TRS provider in Malaysia. Our teams are fully aligned and ready to deliver the highest standards of safety and operational excellence to ensure this partnership thrives.”

As the contract, dated July 1, 2026, runs until March 29, 2031, the company describes it as a major award that represents “a continuous momentum for Destini Oil Services as it aggressively strengthens and solidifies its core TRS business within Malaysia.”

DOS continues to expand its track record of delivering its services to key offshore projects in Malaysia, backed by its primary technical hub and supply network strategically located at the Kemaman Supply Base (KSB) in Terengganu.

“Destini Berhad and DOS are honoured to be selected as a trusted partner from the inception of this collaboration and look forward to supporting Searah (Malaysia)’s long-term operational success and growth,” emphasized the Malaysian firm.

Searah is also progressing projects in Indonesia, as illustrated by a recent contract award for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) for the Kutei North Hub field development project in the Kutei Basin, East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
