Uber beat out Waymo in launching a commercial robotaxi service in London, the city’s first. After 23 years of operation, the Sality peer-to-peer (P2P) botnet has been disrupted as part of an international law enforcement effort. First observed in 2003, Sality has been used for distributing various malware families, including information stealers, proxy services, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) payloads, and more. For the past eight years, it mainly served the EggJagger clipjacking tool, which is believed to have stolen at least $150,000 in Bitcoin and Ethereum. If there were an apex predator among fires, tropical peatland fires would be a top contender. These fires, which burn in dried wetland soils, are slow-burning, highly polluting, and notoriously difficult to extinguish because they smolder at low temperatures and often burn underground through expansive deposits of peat. An SQL injection vulnerability in the All-in-One WP Migration and Backup plugin for WordPress could allow unauthenticated attackers to execute remote code and take control of affected websites. The plugin is used to back up, export, import, and move entire websites, including their databases, media, themes, and plugins, between servers or domains. The security flaw is tracked as CVE-2026-19949 and received a high-severity score. It was discovered by security researcher Jack Taylor, who reported it in mid-August through Defiant’s cybersecurity branch, Wordfence. A lot of people have heard of Bitcoin but even among those who hold it, knowledge is shallow.  Though for those holding the leading cryptocurrency, it appears to be solving a problem: getting around failing banking rails or inflation.  That’s according to new findings from the U.S. Ivy League research university Cornell, which spoke to nearly 26,000 around the globe about Bitcoin.  In its new Bitcoin Adoption Index report, the top college found that El Salvador, Venezuela and Nigeria were the countries that had the highest number of people who had ever owned bitcoin.  “Ranked by the share of all…
