Aberdeen-headquartered integrated solutions specialist EnerMech has been hired by an undisclosed North Sea operator for long-term topside services work.
EnerMech has secured its second major contract in recent months for comparable topside process services in the North Sea. The latest multi-year assignment will enable the firm to deliver topside process and shutdown services across the offshore asset portfolio of an unnamed company, described as a leading North Sea operator.
Charles ‘Chuck’ Davison Jr., EnerMech’s CEO, commented: “This award reflects the confidence our customer places in our people, processes and commitment to continuous improvement. It aligns with our strategy of delivering integrated, technically advanced topside process solutions that improve reliability, reduce complexity and provide operators with greater operational assurance across their asset portfolios.”
EnerMech will provide an integrated delivery model combining embedded engineering expertise, multi-skilled personnel, and centralized competency support. The company will deploy a scalable equipment fleet and class-leading digital assurance systems from its Aberdeen base, including EnerMech SIMPro engineering software, to support safe, consistent and schedule-assured delivery of shutdown and maintenance projects.
The contract covers nitrogen purging, nitrogen and helium leak testing, bolt torquing and tensioning, cryogenic pipe freezing, on-site machining, system pressurization and flange management. The Scottish firm’s right-first-time delivery approach, supported by experienced personnel with extensive offshore operational knowledge, will help minimize rework, reduce downtime and improve planning certainty across a multi-asset program.
The deal is perceived to reinforce the Aberdeen-based player’s position as a trusted delivery partner for operators seeking integrated technical services, operational certainty and safe, efficient project execution, while strengthening a partnership built over more than a decade and expanding the Scottish firm’s role as a provider of topside process services and shutdown readiness activities across the operator’s offshore asset portfolio.
Nuno de Sousa, SVP Energy Solutions, emphasized: “Our teams have supported this leading North Sea operator for more than 12 years. That continuity gives us a deep understanding of the operating environment, routines and execution requirements needed to deliver safely and on schedule. Expanding our scope across the portfolio allows us to further strengthen consistency, drive efficiencies and support successful shutdown and maintenance campaigns.”
While this contract further reinforces EnerMech’s North Sea capabilities and its commitment to supporting operators with integrated services that enhance asset integrity, optimize operational performance and ensure safe, reliable project delivery, the company is also working on multiple deals elsewhere, as illustrated by a recent pipeline flushing and cleaning job undertaken for Subsea7 in the Gulf of Mexico.
