Beelzebub Raises $3.4 Million for Hacker-Trapping Platform

Italian AI-native cybersecurity company Beelzebub today announced raising €3 million (~$3.4 million) in a seed funding round led by VC United Ventures, bringing the total raised by the company to $3.8 million.

Founded in 2025, Milan-based Beelzebub has built a platform that combines red- and blue-teaming capabilities to level the odds in the fight against AI-powered cyber threats.

The startup’s platform assumes that attackers have already breached the network and are waiting for the right moment to act. When the attackers make their move, the platform ensnares them in a closed loop that combines simulation, detection, and threat intelligence.

It relies on continuous adversary emulation to uncover attack paths before they are exploited, and on runtime deception technology that uses LLM-powered traps to identify intrusions and contain them instantly.

In addition to isolating affected systems and initializing incident response, Beelzebub relies on autonomous threat intelligence to transform intercepted attacks into actionable defenses.

The platform uses an AI analyst to dissect detected malware and deliver full incident reports, and can be used entirely on-premises in sensitive environments that cannot send data to cloud-based tools.

NIS2-ready by design, Beelzebub’s platform receives live threat intelligence feeds from over 60 independent researchers around the world and can be used as a SaaS or can be deployed on-premises.

The startup plans to use the fresh investment to expand its research team, open new offices in Rome and San Francisco, and acquire additional clients across Europe, mainly focusing on NIS2-regulated organizations.

“Cybersecurity is a nonstop battle, and one that humans can no longer fight alone. AI-powered attackers are too powerful, too competent, too fast, and too numerous, meaning the only way to fight back is at the same pace and intensity. Beelzebub’s product adapts to new types of malware and is always updated to match the current state of the most sophisticated attacks,” said Beelzebub founder and CEO Mario Candela.
