As part of its long-term strategy to build an integrated portfolio of technologies and engineering capabilities for the subsea market, Swiss technology group Rosenxt Group has, through its U.S. business, acquired Houston-based Zupt, a provider of subsea metrology, advanced 3D subsea inspection, offshore survey engineering, and technologies supporting renewable offshore installations.
Rosenxt Holding USA’s acquisition of the 2005-founded company is said to complement the group’s existing subsea and offshore capabilities with advanced navigation, positioning and autonomy technologies, as well as expand the operational footprint and customer network in North America.
“For nearly twenty years, Zupt has focused on solving some of the subsea industry’s most demanding marine construction and inspection challenges through innovative engineering, operational experience and close collaboration with our customers,” said Keith Vickery, Founder and President of Zupt.
“Becoming part of Rosenxt marks an exciting new chapter for our company, our employees and our customers. We share a strong engineering mindset and a long-term commitment to developing new technologies and applications that make offshore operations safer, smarter and more efficient. As part of Rosenxt, we will be able to accelerate innovation, expand our global reach and deliver even greater value to customers around the world while continuing to build on the trust we have earned over the past two decades.”
The addition of these capabilities, in addition to the acquisitions of Beam in 2025 and K.U.M. Umwelt- und Meerestechnik Kiel GmbH earlier this year, enable Rosenxt to provide integrated, end-to-end solutions across the complete lifecycle of offshore and subsea assets, from front-end engineering design (FEED), from installation to commissioning, long-term operation, inspection and integrity assessment including monitoring, abandonment and decommissioning, the firm said.
The transaction has been completed with immediate effect. The financial terms have not been disclosed.
“This acquisition supports our strategy of providing customers with integrated Advanced Technological Service solutions that combine robotics, sensing, engineering expertise and intelligent data provisions,” said Chris Yoxall, CEO Realization at Rosenxt.
“Customers increasingly need connected solutions rather than individual technologies. Zupt brings proprietary technologies, strong engineering capabilities and extensive operational experience in subsea energy and renewables applications. Combined with Rosenxt’s existing robotics, sensing and integrity capabilities, we can provide more integrated solutions that help customers execute projects more efficiently and make better-informed decisions throughout their asset lifecycle.”
