An image authentically shows U.S. President Donald Trump’s Fordham University transcript with a grade point average of 1.28.
Throughout 2026, an image circulated online purportedly showing U.S. President Donald Trump’s Fordham University transcript featuring a grade point average of 1.28.
The alleged report card suggests Trump got D, C and F grades across five classes.
One Facebook user who shared the supposed university record in January wrote (archived), “Is this a surprise to anyone?”

The image also spread on X (archived, archived) and Instagram (archived) throughout the summer of 2026. Snopes readers wrote in asking if the transcript is real.
In short, the report card is fake. In March 2019, Fordham University posted (archived) about the image on X, calling it a “forgery.”
The image is a forgery, not an actual Fordham University transcript. Fordham University respects the privacy of its students and alumni, and follows federal law regarding the handling and release of academic records https://t.co/gJ0qfpR4nB pic.twitter.com/CXCQ90kG76

Additionally, the fake document lists an address — 85-15 Wareham Place, Jamaica, New York — for Trump that he reportedly last lived at when he was four years old, meaning he did not live there when he attended Fordham University from 1964 to 1966 (PDF Page 89), aged around 18-20 years old.
It was not possible to find any evidence that Fordham had released an authentic copy of Trump’s transcript regarding his years at the school, as of this writing.
Trump’s former “fixer” and lawyer Michael Cohen, who testified against Trump in the trial that eventually found the now-president guilty of falsifying business records in connection with payments to a porn star, told Congress in 2019 that Trump asked him to send letters to his former schools that “threatened” them not to release his grades (PDF Page 14).
PBS reported in February 2019 that Fordham University spokesperson Bob Howe said the school had received a letter from Trump’s legal team threatening legal action if it released his grades. That same year, Howe also told Snopes, when we previously investigated this claim, that the transcript is fake.
Snopes’ archives contributed to this report.
