T-Mobile will give you the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip for practically nothing if you preorder now

At Samsung Unpacked in London last month, the tech giant unveiled its latest flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 — which it says is the lightest and thinnest flip phone on the market. If you’re interested in getting a deal on the new phone, T-Mobile is offering both new and existing customers a preorder deal on the phone for $100, down from the original price of $1,200, when you activate a line or trade in an eligible device on an Experience More or Experience Beyond plan. The phone will be widely available on Friday, and we don’t expect this preorder deal to last.

Also: How to preorder everything announced at Samsung Unpacked: Galaxy Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8, and more

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 includes a 6.9-inch dynamic AMOLED inner display at a 120Hz refresh rate, with a redesigned “FlexWindow” that brings more apps, notifications, and actions to the cover screen. The phone’s 50MP camera features hands-free shooting and auto stabilization, and a “mirror view” with the selfie camera and cover screen. It has the same 4,300mAh battery as the Flip 7, but it has faster 45W charging. Get the phone in 256GB and 512GB storage options, in Cream, Graphite, or Pink colorways.

Also: Everything announced at Samsung Unpacked 2026: New foldables, smartwatches, more

As is usually the case for phone carrier deals, there are some strings attached: You’ll essentially need to buy the phone (either up front or via a monthly payment plan), and get paid back via monthly bill credits over 24 months. There’s also a $35 device activation fee. If you cancel your account, the bill credits will stop, and you’ll need to pay the remaining balance. The bill credits will also end if you pay off your device early.

Also: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 vs. Z Flip 8: I compared both models, and here’s the one to buy

The Experience More plan starts at $85 a month with AutoPay, and offers a five-year price guarantee, and other perks like unlimited premium data and Netflix with ads included. The Experience Beyond plan starts at $100 a month with AutoPay, and also includes a Hulu subscription, along with other advantages. Compare both plans at T-Mobile.

If you’re planning to stick with T-Mobile and are interested in the Z Flip 8, this is a deal worth strongly considering.

    How I rated this deal

Again, if you want a Galaxy Z Flip 8 and are planning to stay on T-Mobile for at least two years, this is a deal worth taking advantage of to get the pricy new phone for far less than the sticker price. Considering the usual carrier deal caveats, I gave it a 4/5 editor’s deal rating.

We expect this deal to last at least until preorders for the Flip 8 end.
