Researchers found more than 16,000 misconfigured Supabase databases exposing readable tables with personally identifiable information, passwords, or authentication tokens. Based on the analysis of table schemas, researchers at cyber risk management company UpGuard believe that a very small set of the exposed information includes credit card data. Supabase is an open-source development platform built around PostgreSQL that provides developers with a range of backend services to build and launch apps and websites faster. The service has become increasingly popular among developers using artificial intelligence tools to build projects, with AI-assisted development accounting for more than 60% of newly created databases.…
In brief Nvidia launched the Open Agent Safety Platform on Monday, pairing an open-source runtime called OpenShell with a hardware watchdog called Sentry that runs on BlueField-4 chips and can quarantine a misbehaving AI agent within milliseconds. More than 100 companies signed on as launch partners, including Anthropic, Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Palantir, Cisco, and SpaceX AI. The launch follows a string of real incidents from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and Darktrace. Nvidia on Monday launched the Open Agent Safety Platform, built to solve a problem the AI industry spent this past year discovering the hard way: how do you physically stop…
Constipation is a familiar problem for astronauts, but scientists have not fully understood why spending time in space can disrupt normal digestion. New research from the University of Copenhagen, conducted in collaboration with NASA, offers a possible explanation. Scientists analyzed blood samples from 52 astronauts who spent months aboard the International Space Station and found signs that the digestive system begins changing relatively soon after astronauts leave Earth. “We see changes in astronauts’ blood samples that indicate that the gut bacteria begin to ferment protein to a greater extent than usual within weeks after the astronauts arrive in space, and…
The last time that the Orange Order successfully marched from Drumcree parish church down the Garvaghy Road, a mainly Catholic part of Portadown, it required a British army presence and a lockdown of locals forced off their own streets. The 1997 parade was preceded by loyalist death threats and followed by nationalist riots, in which more than 160 people were injured. The lengthy track record of lethal violence and disorder associated with the march led the Parades Commission – established the following year as part of the peace process – to ban it.On Sunday, however, in scenes that rolled back the…
Several countries across the Mediterranean have reportedly been informed by the CIA of a possible imminent Russian operation, according to an investigation published by Spanish daily El Mundo on September 24.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has signalled she is willing to rethink plans to make it harder for foreign workers to claim permanent residence in the UK.The home secretary has been under pressure to water down the proposals from a significant number of Labour MPs, including Housing Secretary Angela Rayner, and trade unions. In a speech to Labour’s annual conference, Mahmood acknowledged “some have said elements of these reforms are not fair”.And she said the government would “come to a position that balances fairness for those who came here legally and fairness to British citizens across this country”.Permanent residence, or indefinite leave…
In a widely expected move, Volkswagen announced Monday that it will replace the recently retired ID.4 crossover with the upcoming ID.Tiguan. The decision is an acknowledgment by the German automaker that its more recognizable nameplates like Tiguan are likely an easier sell with consumers, especially when it comes to EVs.When it lands in Europe in early 2027, the ID. Tiguan will join the ID.Polo and ID.Cross to round out Volkswagen’s new-and-improved electric lineup. VW also confirmed that the ID.Tiguan will come to the US, where the ID.4 was previously manufactured, “at a later date.” Design details remain under wraps, as…
Ravie LakshmananSep 28, 2026Cybersecurity News / Hacking A domain used as harmless placeholder text showed up in roughly 1,700 repositories. Then somebody registered it and started serving malicious lures. That is the kind of week this was: forgotten assumptions turning into live attack surface. Elsewhere, weak service accounts, old bugs, exposed systems, phishing kits, and strangely easy exploit paths kept doing useful work for attackers. Nothing exotic. Mostly things nobody expected to matter anymore. Here’s the full recap of what mattered this week. ⚡ Threat of the Week Citrix Warns of Actively Exploited NetScaler ADC and Gateway Flaws — Citrix…
