Accenture’s majority investment in Dragos has now closed, and Dragos followed it on Monday by announcing that it has completed its acquisitions of NetRise and runZero.
The moves are part of Accenture’s $4.1 billion OT cybersecurity push announced in June.
Dragos will continue to operate independently with Robert M. Lee serving as its CEO. Lee has also been named chairman of the board. There will be new board members from Accenture, and Dmitri Alperovitch is returning to Dragos’ board.
Key executives — including runZero CEO HD Moore, NetRise CEO Thomas Pace, and NetRise CTO Michael Scott — are joining Dragos alongside their teams to lead platform integration.
NetRise contributes firmware-level insight into device exposure and software supply chain visibility, while runZero, founded by Metasploit creator HD Moore, adds asset discovery, exposure assessment and attack surface intelligence.
Dragos said the acquisitions add exposure management and software supply chain security to its platform alongside existing OT asset visibility and threat detection.
“Organizations across electric, oil and gas, manufacturing, data centers, and other critical infrastructure sectors need to defend every system that can influence a physical process. That extended environment is xOT. NetRise, runZero, and Dragos defend it together,” said Lee.
Financial terms of the NetRise and runZero acquisitions have not been disclosed, but it was previously reported that of the total $4.1 billion deal value, Accenture acquired its majority stake in Dragos at an enterprise valuation of $3.25 billion.
